Well, its rather rapidly coming to the end of the summer holidays, after this week theres just one more left.
This week has been like any other with plenty of activities. This has included a session of Kicking rounders. We had the construction scheme working on interview prep and a session at gravity force (which due to closing on the 22nd, turns out to be my last session with groups there). We had another group of young people visit over ride skate park, the session was cool with loads of new tricks being attempted, and thankfully, no injuries.
The final activity of the week has been a trip to Kirkley hall with a group from Helping Hands. We spent the day finding out about different animals and dodging the rain.
This week has also seen a small return to normality as between the group work, there has been an increase in the 1 to 1 support sessions with young people who have came in for various things.
with the summer almost over, it could be easy for us to take our foot off the gas and coast through the last week, however looking at what we have on, it looks like we are going out with a very busy week, despite the bank holiday monday shortening it.
