Beadnell Week

The Lions and Butterflies

Well week 4 is coming to an end and this is is probably the most tiring week of the summer but also one of the most rewarding as its the residential week.

This week has seen 4 groups visit Daleby House in Beadnell. The different groups got the chance to spend the night away at the beach. Some of the different activities the groups have done include beach games, kayaking, visits to local landmarks such as Northumberlandia and Bamburgh castle, nights out for fish and chips and night time games such as cards. Its been an amazing week with loads of laughs including watching young people capsize mike (at every chance they could). we would like to Thank Adventure Holidays for use of Daleby House and Carney Consultancy for helping to fund it.

Today we have Helping Hands visiting pots and pancakes.

On a sadder note, we are saying goodbye to longstanding trustee and supporter of the PDYP Ella Hannant today, who sadly passed away last week. She was a valuable member of the PDYP trustees and will be sadly missed for her kind, caring approach in helping local young people. PDYP would not be able to operate without a dedicated group of trustees such as Ella, volunteering and dedicating her time for the good of others in the community.
