I cant believe ive havent already put this up yet. Whoops.
We would like to congratulate our manager Mike Burgess being awarded an MBE in the new years honours lists. His pioneering work with young people over the last 25+ years has been recognised and we couldn't be happier.
here is what mike had to say.
I am deeply touched by your amazing comments on facebook. I came to the estates of North Tyneside to hopefully inspire change. it has been challenging, exciting and rewarding but it has been an honour and privilege to work with you all, we have achieved so much at PDYP. I thank our; staff, trustees, funders, partners, local businesses and other agencies but most of all it has been an amazing 14 years working with local young people...you are simply amazing. I accept my MBE on behalf of the people I serve as I believe you will be remembered not for your power, wealth or the people you control but for the difference you make for others and the love you may receive.
Mike Burgess (Extremely Maverick)--
