wednesday saw us supporting a group of young people from Percy Hedley paddle a mile for sports relief. The Project which was organised by Gary Nelson, saw they young people arrive at the pdyp for 10am before kitting up and heading to Hexam on the North Tyne. From their they all grabbed their paddles, got in their kayaks, then it was full steam ahead. The first half a mile was against the current and saw cruising up the river before a turn around for a mellow push back towards the jetty. Everyone loved it and it was amazing to see how much everyone loved it. A big well done to everyone involved from Percy Hedley.
