A group of local urban artists are keen to encourage urban artists tagging and causing anti-social artworks on the streets, to access legal space to paint. The groups supported by the Phoenix Detached Youth Work and north tyneside YMCA (who provide legal walls for artwork). The aim is to encourage access to legal space and the group have successfully been awarded a grant from the chapman fund, part of the Tyne & Wear community foundation. The grant will allow the detached youth workers to encourage young people tagging into the legal art group.
Some work recently done by the art group, there is an album for photos on the facebook page and there is going to be a video of the art groups work.
