The Graffiti wall at the East Howdon underpass has been up and running for a few months now and its going from strength to strength. Its the first legal wall in the North East where young people can go one friday every fortnight and practise spray painting. It is a rolling wall which means that after each session the young people photograph what they've done so that it can be repainted at the next session. The local community have taken to it as well and really enjoy seeing the different pieces of art that are created. Here are just a few comments from local people
"I think it is good because it keeps young people from getting into trouble"
"Its nice to see art rather than rude messages and the lads are enjoying it"
"The tunnel is a huge improvement"
