Well Its the end of January and we have already had our first residential of 2017, meaning we are better at organising residentials than we are blogs. The residential was in partnership with Sport North Tyneside, as part of a scheme that looks at the health and well being of young people in the area by supporting them with gym passes, fitness and nutritional advice as well as support with any additional needs they identify.
so what did they do i hear you ask. On the 20th to the 22nd of january Mike went on a residential stay to High Borrans in the lake district with 3 members of Sport north tyneside and 10 young people we have supported together on the gym pass scheme.
While there the lads got to try a range o activities and also a chance to look at their goals for the future. Some of the things they got to do included canoeing (everyone loved it when mike fell in) they got the opportunity to learn diy skills like creating a drainage system. They got to test their skills rock climbing and also went Gill scrambling.
All the lads had an amazing time and got a lot out of the weekend away.
