I have had a fantastic experience while working at the PDYP and met some amazing people, both staff and young people. I have had some amazing learning opportunities including one to one work, group work, crisis work and a research project.
The research project was regarding young peoples experiences after leaving the care system. This put me out of my comfort zone, which is always scary but helped me develop my confidence.
Now the fun side of it, I’ve been destroyed at laser quasar repeatedly, attacked with dodge balls whilst in the foetal position and had a good laugh watching the lads on the go-karts cutting grass.
I’ve learned the word GEET must be included in every sentence; sarcasm is definitely the best humour and had an absolute blast with everyone from the PDYP. The bar has been set pretty high for any future places I could work; I have loved every second of my time here.
Over and out guys, Mr T (my lovely nickname off a few, you know who you are)
