Percy the carrot

Percy the carrot
Young parents and their children had their first visit to our new allotment last week. They were lucky enough to meet Percy the carrot and hear the story of his life. The parents and children will be going up to the allotment on a weekly basis to help prepare the ground, plant seeds and watch them grow. When the time is right they will then be using the vegetables they have grown to take part in cooking sessions. The children will be keeping scrap books and have the chance to turn the vegetables they grow into characters for their own stories and pictures.
