Knit and Natter support Tiny LIves at RVI

The Knit and Natter group made up of young people from Phoenix detached youth project and residents from Chirton Lodge have knitted an astounding 88 knitted items consisiting of blankets, hats, bootees and mittens. Today we were fortunate enough to go up to to the premature baby unit and present the items to Louise Carroll from the Tiny Lives charity which supports the unit. The blankets and hats will be used for babies on the unit and the bootees and mittens will be sold to raise money for the unit.

Diana, a young woman at the project came up with the idea as she was doing a lot of knitting and had been a baby at the unit herself so was an ideal thing to do combining two things she was interested in.
